July Bullet Journal Theme: Studio Ghibli

This month I decided to go with a studio ghibli theme for my bullet journal spreads and I love it! I thought I would share it, in case you need some inspiration. My inspiration came from the Black Goddess blog who shared her studio ghibli spread. I love studio ghibli movies so I thought it would be perfect to draw some characters from the movies in my journal. My favorite is Howl's Moving Castle. I made a cute checklist too so I can try and watch all the movies, I haven't seen every one yet!  Monthly Spread I start off…

These super yummy almond butter cookies are chewy and delicious with added chocolate chips and pecans.  I love baking, it's one of my favorite things, but I have never tried to make my own recipes. My next bake is so British I couldn’t even get all my ingredients at the super market, I had to order one ingredient online! You might recall this dessert mentioned in Harry Potter... Treacle Tart! Apple Pear Tarte Tatin (Vegan!)

If you keep up to date on my posts, you know I like to bake things that are on the Great British Baking Show. I never heard of tarte tatin until I watched it on the show. I am so glad I discovered it thought and decided to bake one because it is delicious! This is also the first time I’ve made rough puff pastry and caramel sauce from scratch. Bronx Zoo: The Gorillas

Let me tell you how much I love going to the Bronx Zoo. I love it so much I signed up for their membership! It basically pays for itself after two trips, it's so worth it. But anyway, I love to go there to see the animals and take pictures of them.  My favorite parts are where all the primates are, so the Gorillas, the Madagascar exhibit, Jungle World, and the Baboons in the Africa area. I always make sure to see those spots every time I go. Especially the Gorillas. These first two images are some of the best…
